Senator Clinton's campaign said yesterday that it would give to charity $23,000 it had received from a prominent Democratic donor, and review thousands of dollars more that he had raised, after learning that the authorities in California had a warrant for his arrest stemming from a 1991 fraud case.
The donor, Norman Hsu, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Democratic candidates since 2003, and was slated to be co-host next month for a Clinton gala featuring the entertainer Quincy Jones.But what was not widely known was that Mr. Hsu, who is in the apparel business in New York, has been considered a fugitive since he failed to show up in a San Mateo County courtroom about 15 years ago to be sentenced for his role in a scheme to defraud investors, according to the California attorney general’s office.

Without going into the specifics, a candidate hardly has the time to do background checks on their donor. They're usually too busy travelling to events, giving policy speeches, going on interviews, etc to even bother with this stuff. Now if the fundraiser was known to have some black spots in his or her history, a candidate can always look the other way. Remember, these are guys that can raise a ton of money, and that's what makes them more valuable due to the limits on contributions.
Hillary Clinton's campaign probably knew this, but chose to not mention it. After all, if nobody did, her war chest would just continue to grow!

What would we expect? Her husband will be recorded in history as the least moral man ever elected to the office. The two of them added together equal a character rating of -10%. Who are these people ready to elect another Clinton to office? The bordello lobby or LSD test subjects from the 60's?
Yeah the Clintons are known for shady dealings though...I mean historically their number one weakness is taking money from criminal sources (like the Chinese Army....)
Point is the Clinton campaign is sighing in relief and the GOP still looks like perverts and criminals thanks to the media excitement over Larry Craig.

If one wants to truly understand Hillary and her fat boy husband as well as all politicians for that matter one only needs to watch the last 15 to 20 minutes of the movie "The Devil's Advocate" wherein Al Pacino, as the devil, articulates the political manifesto of all current day US politicians regardless of their party affiliations. The US government is tragically broken and most probably beyond repair. The last action item on the government and it's elected official's agenda is the health, safety and well being of any American citizen.
Hillary being elected will be the last nail in the national coffin.
It's Hillary all the way!!! Because of Pres. Clinton's indiscretions, we tend to cancel out what a great president he was. Of course, he is not running. However, I am convinced that like husband, like wife. Our best shot at getting out of the mess this country is in, is to allow the Clinton's back in. They had to fix things after daddy Bush, and now they'll fix it after son Bush. However, after son Bush, they're work is truly cut out for them.
